Buying and selling between riders should be simple and safe. That’s why we have built a system designed to protect you as a buyer, ensuring that every transaction between board sports enthusiasts is clear, fair, and secure.
Here’s what Regrab’s Buyer Protection covers:
1. Buyer Protection: Your Internal Guarantee
When you buy on Regrab, you pay a dedicated fee for Buyer Protection. This fee acts as an internal guarantee or insurance for the transaction.
How much does it cost?
The Buyer Protection fee is fixed and transparent and consists of:
- a fixed amount of €1
- 5% of the product price (for the portion up to €500)
- 2% on the portion of the price exceeding €500
Here are some practical examples:
- Product price €100: €1 (fixed fee) + €5 (5% of €100) = €6
- Product price €400: €1 (fixed fee) + €20 (5% of €400) = €21
- Product price €600: €1 (fixed fee) + €25 (5% of €500) + €2 (2% of €100) = €28
What does this fee cover?
This fee covers everything necessary for a secure transaction:
- Escrow system with traceable payment: your money is safe (held) until receipt is confirmed.
- Human support in case of issues and dedicated assistance.
- Handling reports for non-compliant products.
- Fraud checks on the platform.
The Escrow system is a financial and legal arrangement in which a neutral third party (in this case, Regrab) holds money, goods, or documents until predetermined contractual conditions are met. This mechanism ensures security and trust in transactions, making sure the buyer receives what was agreed upon and the seller gets paid, while reducing the risk of scams, fraud, and disputes.
The fee is not “lost” money—it only comes into play when something goes wrong, providing you with support.
2. Protected Transactions: Escrow Payments and Tracking
Every payment on Regrab is managed to protect the buyer.
How does Protected Payment (Escrow) work?
- When you make a purchase, your payment is securely held in the escrow system and is not immediately sent to the seller.
- The seller ships the order with a tracked courier.
- After delivery, you have 48 hours to verify that the product matches the description.
- Only after your confirmation, or if 48 hours pass without any report, does the payment get released to the seller.
If the package doesn’t arrive or the product is significantly different from the description, you can open a report before the payment is released.
Reliability and Technology
All payments are handled via Stripe, a secure and certified external platform, ensuring that payment data is encrypted.
